From Sound Asleep to Sonder: Same trusted team. New name. Bigger vision.
We started as Sound Asleep Anesthesia, a small, trusted team of CRNAs helping other providers find meaningful work.
What began as a focused solution quickly grew into something bigger: a clinician-led movement for more transparency, more autonomy, and more humanity in anesthesia staffing.
That growth called for a name that reflected not just what we do, but why we do it.

WHY THE CHANGE?
Sound Asleep Anesthesia was born from a vision to connect great CRNAs with great opportunities.
But what started as a small, trusted staffing resource quickly evolved into something bigger, a movement toward provider empowerment, human-first placements, and integrity-driven partnerships.
The name Sonder reflects what’s always been at the heart of our company: Every provider. Every facility. Every interaction, is vivid, complex, and deeply human.
We needed a name that honored that truth.
OUR GOAL & INSPIRATION
A lot of heart went into this rebrand, because Sonder isn’t just a new name, it’s a clearer expression of who we’ve always been. We built this brand to reflect our all-encompassing approach to staffing: relational, intentional, and grounded in real clinical experience.
Inspired by the meaning of “Sonder”, the awareness that every person lives a life as vivid and complex as your own, we set out to design a brand that honors both the art and the human complexity of anesthesia care. Every shift, every contract, every connection should feel purposeful.
This rebrand is our way of bringing clarity, integrity, and humanity to the forefront, for providers, for facilities, and for the future of staffing.
LOGO REDESIGN
Our new Sonder logo is more than a redesign, it’s a visual continuation of where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
Drawing from our original identity, we kept the mountain to represent strength and perspective, and introduced a flowing river that forms the letter “S”, a symbol of Sonder, movement, and the evolving journey of every provider and facility we serve. It honors our CRNA roots while embracing progress, clarity, and connection.
The Sonder Journey Mark reflects our commitment to transparency, autonomy, and purpose, bold yet grounded, professional yet personal. It’s not just a logo; it’s a statement of who we are and the standard we’re here to raise.

While our name and look have evolved, the heart of who we are remains unchanged. Sonder Staffing is still led by practicing CRNAs and grounded in the same values that made Sound Asleep Anesthesia trusted by both providers and facilities.
